Shon Blake Chief Blake has worked for Baytown Fire Department since 1976. He worked his way through the ranks to Assistant Fire Chief of the Operations Division and won unanimous approval by city council as Fire Chief on October 26, 2004. He is a member of the National Fire Service Incident Management System Consortium. Chief Blake has participated in the publication of six Model Procedures Guides for the Nation's Fire Service. He is also a principal member of The National Fire Protection Association's Technical Committee on Occupational Safety and Health Standards. Additionally he serves on The Texas Commission for Fire Protection Ad-Hoc Committee on Wellness and Fitness.
